Tara Janique

Tara studied Music with emphasis in Vocal Performance at Alcorn State University, and earned a B.S. in Music. Despite health opposition, she persisted to attend graduate school in Music Education with a Choral emphasis at William Carey University, earning her Master’s degree in Music Education. She is the worship leader for Women of Excellence International, based in Natchez, MS and has performed classical singing, jazz, and Christian music at a plethora of events and places, including weddings, festivals, churches, and more. She has taught voice, piano, and general music. She has worked with nonprofits partnering with arts organizations for arts education in the community as well as other inspiring endeavors via the arts.


Tara founded TJ &A in order to explore the perspective of other artists, while promoting Christians in the arts. She believes that initiating a conversation about why the 

God gave the arts could influence positive change within the community and the arts world.
